	@Hoovie- For me, I had no idea, so I was taking guesses with states, and my mind usually goes west to east on geography quizzes.

	Should be interesting to compare this list with states with no state income tax. I believe NH would be the only one on BOTH lists, hate the fact Delaware charges income tax now.

	some possible bonus ideas: states with certain items where there is no sales tax (e.g. Minnesota w/ food & clothing, Iowa w/ food, etc.)? it would take a lot of work, but might be interesting for people blindly typing in states :)

	@Loki: I was thinking similarly, but also thought New York would be a good bonus, since they gave several counties temporary state sales tax exemption. Pennsylvania doesn't tax clothing, either. As far as Alaska, I thought of it first because I know they pay you to live there (every year, a portion of the state's oil revenue is returned to the citizens). I can't imagine them having sales tax.

	@dknights: new york does too. there is one weekend a year where they don't charge sales tax because the city loses a lot of business to new jersey on some items. so they definitely have a tax free weekend on all items not including tobacco products.

	Ahh, I was just typing in Delaware as a random guess when time ran out. Shucks. As a Washingtonian retailer, I frequently see ID's from the three states I got to ring up tax-exempt sales.

	gaaaahhh, I was answering a different quiz and didn't realize it until I read the comments. I was naming the no-income-tax states, and I was shocked that some of the states I had lived in had apparently added an income tax! Oh well, I got NH, and then OR as a guess.

	Semantically, some states don't have a sales tax, but function just the same. Hawaii has a gross receipts tax. Arizona has a transfer priveledge tax. And for those who suggested bonuses for states exempting certain goods, that's actually not a feasible idea. All states have some form of exemption to favor industries that are integral to the state's economy.

	Knew Oregon (live here) and Delaware, but not the others! Too bad Oregon has the highest state income tax in the country...9%, on top of federal rates. :(
