| Ok - I realize that this list is arbitrary, as I noted at the top in game comments. I have given two clues to each city and you are trying to guess based upon that. What I was going for, although it is clearly hard to accomplish is "twin cities" that being, two cities that are nearly equal in importance to the metro area they are in. So I went through the list of cities and chose ones that were quite similar in size: I don't think anyone will make a case for Newark being as important as NYC, or Kansas City, Kansas being as important as KC, Missouri, or Tacoma being as important as Seattle. And in response to the triad comments: Again, High point and Newport News are not nearly as influential on the urban areas as the other two respective cities in their metros. And in response to the last comment: It is nearly impossible to properly categorize a twin-city, because there are always bedroom communities that spring up around an influential city and people expect those to be listed as well..... If you can think of some that are proper twin cities and not in separate Metro areas like some people have suggested ie: Washington/Baltimore and San Francisco/San Jose then please add them to the growing list of comments :) |
