	One- I grew up with it being called 'The Curse of Tecumseh.' 'Twenty-Year Curse' is another common name. Two- The first known mention of this was by Ripley's Believe It or Not in the 1920s. Three- This curse is remarkably prescient, able to know when a President will get re-elected before striking.

	The eighth president to die in office, Zachary Taylor, was elected in 1848 and died in 1850. ¶ By surviving John Hinckley's bullet (and by having far more knowledgeable doctors than Tippecanoe or Garfield had), Reagan managed not only to serve out a full two terms, but to survive (although tragically with Alzheimer's) for another 15 years thereafter, dying at age 93.

	@shakescene- I'm not sure about Harrison, but Garfield DEFINITELY died because of his doctors. He was getting better, but developed gangrene because his doctors kept poking around in the hole in his back.

	Harrison died 30 days after his inauguration. I guess speaking for 2 hours in a huge storm wasn't the best plan to kick off his administration.

	I think it's safe to say that the curse has been lifted. Reagan survived both of his terms and Bush did as well (originally elected in 2000).

	Why is there always someone who says you need to accept jfk and fdr, just type kennedy and roosevelt and quit whining.
