	Good stuff - it's good to know the bands that had a signature big hit, which is the only reason I got Yes correct (I would assume Owner of a Lonely Heart is what got them here).

	@Alex... you could always do, "Who, The" to keep the alphabetical order. That's better than leaving off a part of the name. Good quiz, though. Despite being something of a self-professed rock expert, I still got tripped up on several of these.

	@Mimbleton: Don't blame Billboard. Blame your parents and grandparents. They're the ones that decided Led Zep never got any higher than #3 with "Whole Lotta Love", that "Like A Rolling Stone" was held out of #1 by The Beatles' "Help" and that The Who never managed to get any higher than #9 with any hit. Billboard just reported the sales & radio play.

	Alex: My new personal hero! I am also sick to death of seeing the people who make these quizzes stick "The" in everywhere whether it belongs or not yet they have no trouble dropping "A", as in "A Flock Of Seagulls". I feel that if you're not intelligent to know who "Who" is in a rock quiz, you have no business taking a rock quiz to begin with! One other thing: I am of the generation being referred to in the comments above. Please don't blame all of us. There is a group of people who believe the top five (and usually ten) people in any rock contest always have to be the same people over and over again, and they vote accordingly. I'm not one of them. I also believe Bob Dylan did some amazing things and was an incredible writer. However, my personal world did not spin every time his name was mentioned. Please! Some of us tried to vote with our heads.

	Some chart trivia: While the Eagles hit #1 5 times and Fleetwood Mac hit #1 once, none of either group's members managed to hit #1 outside the group (of the Eagles, only Frey and Henley were even able to crack the Top 10 with both men reaching #2, with Frey doing the feat twice and Henley only doing it in a collaboration with Patty Smyth; of the Mac, all three of the group's singers--Nicks, Buckingham and Christine McVie--had a combined solo Top 10 hits, including Nicks' collaborations with Nicks' collabo with Petty being the biggest of the Mac "solo" hits). And, while Phil Collins had 7 #1 hits outside of Genesis (he actually had 4 before Genesis had a #1 as a group), Genesis as a group only had 1 #1 single--"Invisible Touch"--which was knocked out of the #1 spot by Gabriel's only #1 US hit, "Sledgehammer."

	Actually Bruce Springsteen did hit number one. He wrote Blinded by the Light which reached number one for Manfred Mann's Earth Band in 1976. Springsteen released his version in 1973, but it never charted.

	BamaRainbow I think Mike Rutherford also had a #1 hit with "The Living Years" with Mike + the Mechanics. Love the fact that Genesis and Gabriel had #1's in back to back weeks!

	ARGH Springsteen! I knew his iconic Born in the USA never hit number 1, but I swore something else did. Dancing in the Dark, Glory Days, I'm On Fire, that awful Tunnel of Love...something!!!

	@Pogues: "Dancing in the Dark" was the closest Bruce came to hitting the top spot. It spent three weeks at #2 behind Prince's "When Doves Cry".

	Wow. This was a frustrating quiz, because there were so many artists I could have sworn made it to # 1, but fell just short. For example, I though Faithfully by Journey was a # 1 hit, but it didn't quite make it that high.
