Excellent quiz. I just wish Sporcle could accept "you know, that guy, he was in that movie with whatsherface."

i tried morgan freeman without really even thinking of what movies he'd been in-he's just in everything, and figured he must have won an award sometime in the past ten years

Crash is number 2...I like to think the hatred for that film will last for years to come.

I thought Paris Hilton's movie the Hottie and the Nottie would make the list. Nope.

I'm pretty sure that Zeta is a middle name and Jones a surname, but it wouldn't accept Jones for me here.

@Zalx, Zeta-Jones has a hyphen, so it's a last name in two parts. Like Day-Lewis.

Inception should be a bonus answer for next year. Cause we all know it will win. Also Christopher Nolan bonus answer for best director.

I was just guessing all the big actors from the Departed figuring they would have won it some time...but I did not guess Departed.

@21wickwing, I'd be surprised if Inception wins anything next year.

How did less than 50% of people get Heath Ledger? His Joker portrayal is one of the greatest performances in all cinematic history...and it's not just because he died.

Heh. Just typed "Return of the King" and then gave up on the rest. Not like Oscars mean anything since '99 anyway.

@coulraphobic123: Declaring Heath Ledger's performance is good isn't just because he died. Declaring it one of the great performances of all-time, to be compared with Brando in On the Waterfront or De Niro in Raging Bull, is utterly insane.

best supporting actress is the best category, due to its uninterrupted streak of awesome winners from 2002 to the present day.

I was so confused when Meryl Streep didn't work. I could have sworn she won an Oscar in the past ten years. But I looked it up and she hasn't won since 1983! She's just nominated practically every year.

This is just for the decade from 2000-2009, which would be referred to as the 2000s. It's a misleading name, but that's what it's called.

Can't believe I missed Day Lewis. There Will Be Blood is one of my favorite movies! I'm dissapointed in myself.
