I tried to pick four relevant bands from the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's, but it was actually a bit of a challenge to find bands who consistently had four members, and who also had a core group of four people. I tried to list as many relevant alternates as I could (I ignored people who only played with the band for a short time, or who played with them before or after their peak years), but if I missed any, just say and I'll add them. Also, if anyone has any suggestions for different bands (especially from the 90's) I'll consider them.

Good quiz, switch the lead singers of the last two and you have Audioslave lol.

The Eagles originally Bernie leadon and Randy Meisner. then cam don Felder. All played with them for a number of years, too. Schmidt joined in 1979 was on the last album before they split in 1980. Not a criticism, because its a tough call.

How about Pink Floyd

I did pretty good on the left-hand column. Other than that, not so much.

Should include Black Sabbath and Metallica

Yeah, The Eagles are problematic because it basically comes down to whomever Frey & Henley say are members. IIRC, they started as a five-piece. If you're sticking with 1970's, how about CCR? They were a pretty solid 4-man band. Loved it anyways.

The Eagles started as a four-piece: Frey, Henley, Leadon, and Meisner.

Thanks for the suggestions. I replaced Eagles with CCR. I don't know how I missed them in my research. I also replaced Soundgarden with Metallica, since they are far more relevant.

Should accept Eric Carr (11 years) and Eric Singer (13 years) for KISS drummers and Bruce Kulick (12 years) for KISS guitarist. All three played on many of their later albums which were very successful. I would also accept Hillel Slovak and Jack Irons for the Chili Peppers. Both were original members of the band when they started their rise and performed on the first two albums. And I second Pink Floyd as an inclusion.

how about you put the correct members of Metallica in? Newsted hasn't been in that band for years. If you are going to put him...also include Mustain, Burton, an that other guitarist dude...McGovern? from the 80s.

I realize that he hasn't been with the group for a while, but he was the bassist for much longer than anyone else. I'm not listing the current members of these groups, I'm listing the core members. Also, I accept relevant alternates. I just list the main four.

*Thank you* for accepting Matt Sharp.

Why isn't Hillel Slovak accepted for the Chili Peppers?

Wolfgang Van Halen should be accepted for Van Halen...unfortunately!

You should accept first names for the Beatles, especially Ringo.

And the Beatles are out of order:John, Paul, George, Ringo. That's IT.
