I'd ditch the Amal one, but otherwise really good quiz. How about "Running on Empty" (1982) or "Keeping Mum" (2005) or "Walking Tall" (1973) or "Trading Places" (1983) or ... ? Clearly plenty of room for a sequel! :-)

Cheers for comments. Not sure whether to keep the Amal one - more feedback needed. Will ditch it if it is indeed an unpopular inclusion. Can't believe I forgot about Trading Places. Terrific film!

Vote up if you think F***ing Amal should stay and down if you think it should go. Thanks.

Never heard of amal. Also, 'Running Scared' for a sequel

I know you already have answers that start with these ones, but Finding Forrester and Being John Malkovitch are great movies. Also, Bringing Down the House, which isn't.

Think a sequel is a dead cert given all these suggestions. I'll leave this out for a few days then write it. Thank all.

Crap, I just now did the quiz, and was wondering why F***ing Amal wasn't included.

Sorry - didn't ever come across yours, but yeah prob a little tricky now I've looked at it. I felt the same way about my "movies by their plot keywords" quiz which was done before the "movies by hint" quiz, and done a lot better IMHO, but somehow the movies by hint gets on the main page and my movies by plot keywords doesn't. It's all a bit random.

no worries. i shouldn't have used the word gerund - awful word. that sucks about the main page bump. hope this one gets you up there.

Nice idea, but some of these movies seem pretty obscure.

What about "Forgetting Sarah Marshall?" I think it would be much less obscure

Great quiz! A note, however, that there's a Jodie Foster/Mark Harmon movie called "Stealing Home" that also fits the (much better) "Coming Home" answer. I mention this only because my brain apparently shut down after being denied my original answer.

Stealing Home wouldn't make any sense - it came out in 1988, not 1978.

Nice quiz, a good easy one to wind down the day with. I do think you should have kept F/cking Amal though.

Great quiz! I loved the variety. Von Trier definitely doesn't get as many Sporcle references as he deserves. :D

Oh my God!! "Breaking the Waves" - quite possibly one of the most depressing, gut-wrenching films known to man :( I honestly felt that everyone at the Scottish Film Board should have been jailed for releasing this blight on an unsuspecting public!

What, no "Guarding Tess?" No, that movie should be off everyone's list of everything.
