I've kept it to just capitals named in European languages for simplicity. Still, if anyone can see any errors, or translation phrasing I'm missing, please say!

Asunción means assumption in English. In Catholicism the term assumption is used to describe the ascent of Mary to heaven, while ascension is used to describe the ascent of Jesus to heaven. Asunción is named after Mary's assumption rather than the ascension of Jesus. This becomes clear if you look at the full name for Asunción: La Muy Noble y Leal Ciudad de Nuestra Señora Santa María de la Asunción. In Spanish ascension is ascensión; assumption is asunción.
