Hmm, maybe specify, largest living LAND carnivore. I was really confused as to why it wasn't taking sperm whale. Unless you're referring to the family Carnivora? Because generally carnivore means meat-eater.

Pretty sure killer whales and sperm whales are bigger than polar bears.

Really... Like ceiiinosssttuu said, there are larger carnivores than polar bears. Plus, ostriches are puny compared to the albatross, giant squids can dwarf the colossal squid, and finally I believe elephant beetles are heavier than goliath beetles.

Yeah, so... most of these comments are wrong. Your answers are fine the way they are. Biology is HARD for quizzes because species names mean something. Polar bear and 'bear' are not the same. You want the largest land carnivore.... then you have to say 'polar bear'. That's just the way biology works.... it is SPECIFIC. (Species=Specific...get it?) Don't dumb it down.

Polar bears aren't even the largest bear. That means polar bears are not the largest land carnivore.

There is a diference between a giant squid and a colossal squid they are two different species. But I thought the japanese giant salamander was the largest

I wish you'd get half credit for having the right species. I only got 6 but I had the right species for all 10. =/

While I disagree with some comments, there are a few I think you should take heed of. Kyusil articulated a very good point that requires a small point of clarification on one question, not an entire reworking of the quiz. I for one support keeping the quiz as you have it in terms of requiring the specific species.
