| The problem is that there are a number of different estimates for GDP/capita. The one I used - basically because it was more extensive - was the CIA World Factbook (which listed more countries than other sources). Their calculation had Suriname at $6,600, but Guyana at only $1,600 - 6600/1600 = 4.125, or 412.5%. I was surprised at some of the answers as well, and I have some reservations about the source, but the others were missing some key countries and I wanted to make sure the list was as extensive as possible. |
