	Very good quiz. I expected to find Zurich, but, while the Zurich metropolitan area has 1.68 million people, which would put it in the top 15, the city itself only has about 361,000.

	@mrnrjct: Along the same lines, what about Milano? Torino? I may be wrong, but aren't those also the Italian names (and both would make the list). This is a great idea for a quiz, but I think there can be problems with alternative spellings ... maybe some bonus answers?????

	I suppose technically Ankara is in Asia, but since it is a capital of a European country I was surprised it was not on the list.

	@jd1z: It seems that City Mayors is counting Istanbul as Asian, even though two-thirds of the population is on the European side of the Bosporus.

	@chumley: As you say, Ankara is in Asia. So is the overwhelming majority of Turkey (about 97% by area).

	Right. 2 English-language broadcasts referred to the city as Torino. You proved my point. I guess I never understood why we need to have an "English translation" for city names in the first place.

	@SporcleADMIN: The hyperlink to the citymayors website needs to be fixed. The link literally starts with the word "Source:". @Everyone: According to the link, #3 is St Petersburg, with Rome, Kiev, Bucharest and Budapest finishing off the top ten. No Turkish cities at all are listed in the top 500. Don't blame the messenger! The website is very inconsistent on providing English versions of city names. For example, Napoli (Naples) & Torino (Turin) are translated. Roma (Rome) and Genova (Genoa) are not. Migawd, if you can't trust what you read on the internet, what can you trust? Perhaps those exonymic cities with 6 letters should be bonuses.

	got 14 should have gotten krakow...im pretty sure i was thinking/thought of it but i guess i wasnt or i forgot lol! havent even heard of malaga, ryazan, poznan, samara or tyumen lol!

	i was missing skopje which should have a population of over 500k people. but citymayors lists it with just 430.000 (and also misspells the name) @hollywoodleo: citymayors lists venice with a population 297.000 at position 206 (and uses the italian name "venezia").
