Sweet quiz dude.
Oct 14th, 2009 at 01:50 GMT
Awesome quiz! Maybe a little too much time though...

Very original idea, and a decent challenge to visualization as well! I'd agree with Pyrophorus, a bit too much time, and also make the caps consistent.
Oct 14th, 2009 at 10:10 GMT
Great quiz, though yeah the time limit is a little high. I would suggest having "alumin_i_um" as an alternative spelling.
Oct 14th, 2009 at 10:37 GMT
Good idea, but it should accept sulphur for sulfur.
Oct 14th, 2009 at 23:10 GMT
you took the idea and ran with it! well done my friend
Oct 14th, 2009 at 23:13 GMT
superb, although i would suggest a uniform capitalization
Oct 14th, 2009 at 23:14 GMT

I think the "aluminum" horror is only predominant in North America? So, go with the proper spelling, please.
Oct 15th, 2009 at 12:22 GMT
i believe the north american spelling is the proper one, although maybe both should be accepted
Oct 15th, 2009 at 14:14 GMT
Recently the chemists got together and decided to compromise with the American sulfur, and the European aluminium, as the standard spellings. But I would include sulphur and aluminum just the same.
Oct 15th, 2009 at 18:34 GMT
also please accept caesium as well as cesium? thanks great quiz
Oct 15th, 2009 at 22:18 GMT
Thanks for the input, ill try to be more foreign spelling friendly!
Oct 15th, 2009 at 23:46 GMT
kinda dorky, but its a good idea
Oct 20th, 2009 at 04:54 GMT
Sweet! Loved it! (FWIW, I can accept sulphur, but I will fight for aluminum as long as warm blood flows through my veins and arteries, until my last dying breath! Aluminium is an abomination!!! (Ok, I'm exaggerating ... aluminium is fine, just as long as you have a sexy British accent :-) ))
Oct 22nd, 2009 at 13:54 GMT
TimeAndTide: You've got it totally wrong. IUPAC standard is sulfur and aluminium! Aluminum is an "acceptable variant" though :)
Oct 24th, 2009 at 16:08 GMT
Pffft! The IUPAC -- what do THEY know! ;-)
