| You spelled "Contintental" (sic) wrong for the "full-size" version. Additionally, there were no Continentals of any kind between 1949 and 1955, so your dating is incorrect. Also, technically speaking, 1956-7 Continental Mark II's and 1958 Mark III's weren't Lincolns as they were marketed through through an entirely separate "Continental Division" and are NOT Lincolns. 1959 and 1960 Continental Mark IV and V which employed the same body as the 1958 Mark III were again sold by a reconstituted Lincoln-Mercury Division and are techincally Lincolns. Interestingly, FoMoCo sales literature never refered to the later 1968 Mark III through late 1980's Mark VII as Lincolns, always simply as Continentals (though they were Lincolns). But the later Mark VIII was simply the Lincoln Mark VIII and NOT a Continental! VERY confusing!!!! |
