| Good quiz, but you forgot the Fleetwood Series SEVENTY FIVE factory-built 8-passenger sedans and limousines which were made from the 1930s into the 1980s and were regular model offerings. Sorry I don't have the exact years. Later long-wheelbase "stretch" limos were crafted by independant companies, some of which dealt special order through Cadillac dealers, but they were NOT official factory offerings. Also, the Calais (formerly the Series 62) was 'entry level', but it was anything but "compact", riding on the DeVille's 130" wheelbase. It was dropped after the 1976 model year and varied mainly from the DeVilles in having less luxurious appointments and trim. The Calais name later resurfaced as an "N" body sub-compact, entry level Oldsmobile model in the late 1980s. |
