@Everyone: Like I said above, calling Palestine a country is not a political endorsement, it's to be consistent with all the other Country Quizzes of Sporcle. I made that clear both in the note at the top and in one of my previous comment, so please stop nagging about it. I'm fairly sure there's a country quiz about Kosovo, no one complained then when someone called Kosovo a country, yet Palestine is recognized by twice as many nations as Kosovo. It's all a matter of definition, just look at Shay's comment above. Calling it "The Palestine Quiz", "Autonomous Area Quiz: Palestine" or "Territory Quiz: Palestine" just reeks of political correctness.
@Shay's first comment: 1) Wikipedia says that the state of Palestine is officially called Palestine, I'm going to keep it that way unless you can provide me with a better source. 2) I've changed the prime minister entry now, thanks for correcting me. 3) The Palestine Basic Law, approved by the PLC in May 2002, states unambiguously "Jerusalem is the Capital of Palestine". 4) Well, you seem to know what you're talking about, so I'll just remove those two questions for now. |
