@Chipmunkdavis: It was the last country (or empire) that had any control over present-day Saudi Arabian territory, so I think it's fair to say that they got their independence when they kicked the Turks out. I'm no expert on the subject though, so please correct me if I'm wrong.
@puckett86: Well, Saudi Arabia does border the Red Sea (and since the sea level is the lowest point, both bordering seas has to be acceptable answers), and per the unofficial Sporcle rules, just the name of the body of water without Sea, Ocean, Bay, Gulf, etc should be accepted. I understand the problem, but there's not much I can do about it. |
