Note: The + behind Myanmar's death toll is because Myanmar's military junta said 61 people died. And, let's face it, Myanmar's military junta is not exactly reliable. Witnesses have said that as many as 600 people may have died in Myanmar.

there is no reason to have separate entries for india and andaman and nicobar islands....

I know, but the Andaman and Nicobar Islands were near the epicenter of the quake, and were therefore severely damaged. I just included them as a separate entry to avoid nitpickers. It's not like they're annoying anyone else, you'll get them by entering 'india'...

I got 5 bonus answers. Are there more than that?

At the moment, there's 6 bonus answers in total. I'd say 4 of them are semi-obvious. The 5th weren't hit by the tsunami at all, they just felt the effect of the actual earthquake, the 6th was hit, but you may not think of it right away as it is not a sovereign country, but a dependency;)

Depressing, but a good quiz.

Too much time, I think. Every answer has an extremely high guessed percentages, and I suspect they are guessed from the time rather than knowledge.

Copy that, I've lowered the timer from 5 to 3 minutes.

how anyone could have attributed those few deaths in South Africa, yemen, Tanzania, Seychelles, and kenya to the earthquake is beyond me

My only problem with this quiz is that your comment in the game notes gives away Myanmar as an answer. I'd say remove that. You mention it in the first comment, which is good enough.

Or you can include an asterisk and in the note say "Asterisk refers to official government count, however witnesses say that the actual death toll might be over 600" or something to that effect--essentially removing the word "Myanmar" from the note.

Why give me an answer - one I wouldn't have otherwise got - in the instructions?

Considering how far S. Africa is from the epicenter, I'm curious as to how they were affected, the link provided said nothing. How did Singapore manage not to have any casualties with 5 million people so close to the epicenter?

reading these comments, it appears that some people were living under a rock and dont seem to realize a tsunami was involved
