A few notes regarding trans-continentalism: Denmark, Russia and Turkey are included twice, simply because they're too transcontinental to ignore. I would have done the same for France (French Guiana, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Réunion and France itself), but I only had two answer slots left, and I would have needed four.
A lot of other countries spans several continents, here's where I've put them:
Cyprus, France, Iceland, Italy, Malta, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and the UK are in Europe.
Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Israel, Japan, Kazakhstan, the Philippines, Timor-Leste and Yemen are in Asia.
Egypt is in Africa.
Panama, Trinidad and Tobago and the USA are in North America.
Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela are in South America.
Australia and Papua New Guinea are in Oceania.
I have experimented with this type of quiz for some time, I think someone actually released one a while ago, but it just wasn't feasible with the relatively short time allowed compared to the task at hand (and all the scrolling involved!). Then I got the bright idea that I could group the countries by continents to make it easier, and what do you know, it works much better. I finished in a little less than 17 minutes, and that included some editing on the way. I've grouped the continents with a lot of countries on top, and those with not so many countries on the bottom. I found this way to be preferable, and I hope you do too. Enjoy the quiz! |
