| As an Episcopalian, I was completely stumped by "Christian" in place of "catholic"! But you did say it was the Lutheran wording. Too bad all the churches don't use the same wording for the "universal" creed. I'm sure Catholic wording is different, too. And I know by heart the "traditional" and "contemporary" versions in the Book of Common Prayer, as well as the Nicene Creed, so I was surprised to have trouble here in a few places! (Also missed "from thence," which was stupid, since that's in our "traditional" language version.) Well, at least it wasn't a quiz on the Athanasian Creed! ;) |
