Common Everyday Uses for a Lightsaber

Yep, we’ve all been there – standing in line at Starbucks and thinking, “If only I had a Lightsaber to help clear this long line, I could get home quicker to watch the game.” In fact, we thought there were probably a few more handy ways a simple Lightsaber could help in the course of a normal day.

Here are some other things that would be much easier to do, if you simply owned a lightsaber:

1) Carve a pretty amazing Jack-O-Lantern

Think of the possibilities

2) Trim the hedges

No that is not a euphemism for something, hedge work is tough!

3) Slice and toast your bread at the same time

Mmmmmm sliced bread

4) Miscellaneous crowd control

Particularly when finding General Admission seating at concerts, rushing to catch a departing flight at the airport, or during holiday shopping.

5) Camping

You’ll feel much safer going to the bathroom in the middle of the night with a sturdy lightsaber by your side.

If you have other everyday uses for a lightsaber, be sure to add them in the comments!

‘Wrecking Ball’ Like You Have Never Seen It

The VCU pep band and student section pulled out all the stops when showing off their newest song – Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball”. Complete with the Space Kitten and the most rocking tuba players ever. The band was positioned behind one of the baskets and that appeared to have an effect on the visiting George Mason players, who were 7 of 16 from the line.

Meet the AudioOrb, a Plexiglas immersive speaker system. Developed by Scandinavian creative lab ST, the company behind one of the largest iPod speaker docks ever built, there are only five AudioOrbs slated for production.

The sphere is fitted with 18 speakers, blocks outside noise and is fitted with pillows that adjust to body shape. All it will cost you is a cool $15,000 to have your very own human-sized hamster ball of sound.

We Are Oddly Obsessed With This Video, Watch And You Will Be Too

Your mom is a stalker. I know that sounds harsh, but it kinda feels true doesn’t it? Old Spice‘s latest commercial, “Mom Song,” affirms this notion with a slew of emotional moms in disguise and distress following their sons around as they come into manhood.

The ad is nothing short of brilliant — and more than a little sinister. The moms start out lamenting about boys becoming men as they spy on their sons and their girlfriends on dates, but builds into a crescendo of weird with them riding laundry baskets behind cars and slithering out of couches.

Old Spice ‘Mom Song’ Commercial: Creepy, yet lovable.

We want to know what you think, did Old Spice cross the line here? Drop a comment below with your thoughts on the new ad!
